No More Waiting to Exhale Retreat

A restorative retreat designed to nurture YOU and help you release all that you have been holding for everyone around you.

Join us in Ontario to Find Your Connection Back to Yourself

For one beautiful weekend, you don't have to hold everything together.

You don't have to anticipate everyone else's needs.

You don't have to earn your rest.

You simply arrive.

Exactly as you are.

The forest will welcome you.

The water will soothe you.

The birds will sing.

The trees will remind your body that it is safe to soften.

The community will hold you.

And perhaps, somewhere between the meadow, the creek, the dock and the stars, you'll

remember something you've almost forgotten.

What it feels like to have your own cup filled.

I can't wait to welcome you to this place that has given me so much.

No more waiting to exhale – A restorative woodland retreat for people who hold so

much

I look forward to seeing how it speaks to you, what it awakens within you, and how you discover your own moments of connection amongst the trees, the water, the birds, and the quiet.

Because everyone deserves a place where they can finally exhale.

Where are we going?

When I began imagining where this retreat should take place, only one place came to mind.

The Ecology Retreat Centre.

More than five years ago, I came here for my forest therapy training.

I arrived carrying stress and the weight of a complex divorce.

I left carrying something entirely different.

Peace.

This land has a quiet way of reminding us who we are beneath the responsibilities we've accumulated.

It asks nothing of us except that we slow down enough to notice.

The retreat centre is a place that will connect and ground you to the natural world around you and remind you how soothing birdsong and running streams can be for your nervous system. In our time at the retreat you will experience a series of guided forest walks, restorative meditations, nature-inspired art activities, journaling and time for solo contemplation. If you are seeking a place to calm your body and mind this is the retreat for you.

A Special Part of the Retreat- Forest Bathing

Image 0

Forest Bathing is a research-based framework that supports health and wellness through immersion in forests and other natural environments. It is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, which was developed in the 1980s as a strategy for reducing stress and improving health.
In Forest Bathing, there is a clearly defined sequence of guided invitations that your guide provides to allow you to connect to your senses and slowly experience new perspectives of the world around you. Think of it as a mindfulness walk where nature helps provide the prompts. It's not a hike or a naturalist walk, but instead an opportunity for your nervous system to reset into a more relaxed and restorative state.
